Highland
This class is intended for people with any level of dance experience. All are welcome! Modern highland dancing is a very structured dance style, with roots in regimental military dances, scottish country dancing, clogging, and ballet. Our class will begin with the basic movements and positions, and continue on into the beginnings of the traditional Highland and National Dances. We will also stretch your brains and legs with original highland choreography! Please wear comfortable clothes that you can move and stretch in (no jeans please). You'll need to be able to move your feet, so bare feet, socks, or jazz or highland slippers are the order of the day. Prepare to have your calves defined!
