Beginner Belly dance
Beginner belly dance is designed to give you an introduction to this form of dance. We will start by learning a warm up routine that prepares you for belly dance. We will then spend the first semester learning basic movements and combinations. Second semester we will be learning a choreography and preparing for the Spring show. Students should wear comfortable clothing to class, something that won't restrict your movement (i.e. no jeans). A scarf to tie around you hips is a good idea. Later in the term students will require a veil (we will go over the details for this in class). For the Spring show students will be expected to have a costume (nothing too expensive or complicated!) - we will discuss this more in class i.e. what would be appropriate, where to buy, and how to make pieces.
