On your ballot for the DSU Elections this year, you will be asked to support a $1 levy to be collected from each full-time student of Dalhousie. This levy will be split equally between DalOUT and WUSC (World University Service of Canada). We encourage you to

About us:
DalOUT is Dalhousie's LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, Queer & Questioning) Society. We work to provide Education, Advocacy and Support to ALL Dal students regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity!

How do we do this?
Over DalOUT's five year lifetime, we have developed basic services and hosted a miriad of weekly events that serve to educate, advocate and support as well as lots of social events! To name a few:

• Society Nights @ the Grawoord and T-Room
• Guest Speakers on a variety of topics
• A Resource Library
• Peer Counselling Services
• Diversity Training to other groups on campus
• Sexual Health Workshops

About the levy...
With just a 50¢ levy, DalOUT can shift it's focus from fundraising to improving the services we already provide and expanding to include more! Some plans for expansion include:

• Hiring part-time office staff to make DalOUT's resources more accessible
• Expansion of our Resource Library
• Bigger and better social events
• High profile guest speakers of interest to more of the Dal community
• Advocacy and Awareness campaigns
• Student Bursaries

What about non-LGBTQ students?
ALL Dal students are encouraged to participate in DalOUT events! We aim to provide a safe and welcome environment for everyone and we don't ask questions.
Most importantly, by fighting against homophobia and transphobia , DalOUT fights the conditions that promote ALL forms of prejudice and hate.

In short, DalOUT works to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all Dalhousie students!
